Out of contract midfielder Owen Hargreaves could be set for a shock move to Manchester City after he was pictured leaving Bridgewater Hospital after a medical. Bridgewater is the hospital where City conduct their player medicals these days. City are officially on the lookout for a midfielder to provide cover for Yaya Toure when he leaves on AFCON duty in January and also had a bid for Mark Van Bommel rejected. Eastlands boss Roberto Mancini now views Hargreaves who last played for City’s great rivals Man Utd, as a possible signing.
Hargreaves has been linked with several Premier League clubs since his release from United, with West Brom, Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa particularly said to be interested in obtaining his services.
