The two German sides left in the Europa League have been drawn against the same opponents they played in the group stages of the very competition earlier this season.

Bayer Leverkusen will meet Qarabag, and will be quietly confident of advancing to the last eight, having beaten the Azerbaijan outfit twice already this season. Qarabag had finished runners up behind Leverkusen in the group stages, and eliminated Braga in the playoff knockout round, winning 6:5 on aggregate.

Freiburg have been drawn against English side West Ham, the same team who pipped them to top spot in Group A. While West Ham, like Leverkusen, automatically progressed to the next round, Freiburg had to play the extra playoff round, and they edged French side RC Lens 3:2.

There were no German sides left in the Conference League Round of 16 draw that was also conducted at the same time. Eintracht Frankfurt had lost 4:3 to USG in the playoff round of the competition.

The Champions League has three German teams left- Dortmund (v PSV), Bayern (v Lazio) and Leipzig (v Real Madrid). None of the three teams won their first leg though, with Bayern and Leipzig losing 1:0 and BVB drawing 1:1 in Eindhoven.
