An amazing little stat this one, following Wigan Atheltic’s stunning win over Manchester City at the DW Stadium. Grigg scored in the 79th minute as the Latics stunned Pep Guardiola’s side on Monday evening.

Grigg now has more goals against top six sides in the Premier League than Romelu Lukaku. Grigg is also the top scorer in the FA Cup currently. Wigan are currently in League One, the third tier of English football, two levels behind City, who lead the PL and are odds on to defend their title.

Grigg’s goal continued Wigan’s great record against City, having beaten them in the 2013 FA Cup final and in the quarters of the 2014/15 FA Cup.
