SABC analyst David Kekana has found himself in a bit of hot water after mentioning in Zulu that “the white guy is making us lose” on Soccerzone. Kekana was referring to Bafana keeper Darren Keet, who plies his trade in Belgium and is one of two white players in South Africa’s national side along with skipper Dean Furman.

Kekana defended himself saying that he is himself married to a white person after being confronted on the issue by noted South African journalist Neal Collins.
Some have argued that Furman is also fondly called “mlungu” (white person in Zulu), but others say that Kekana clearly meant it in a racist way.
