Juventus have informed manager Luigi Delneri that he will not remain in charge of the Bianconeri for next season. Delneri informed reporters of Juve’s decision ahead of the club’s weekend game against SSC Napoli. He said that Juventus had told him his services would not be required on Wednesday and that the game against Napoli would be his last game as coach of the Turin side.

Juventus appointed Delneri as manager after a poor 09/10 season but the former Sampdoria gaffer has not exactly been able to turn things around at the Olimpico. Juve are currently seventh in Serie A and are in danger of missing out on a spot in Europe altogether.

Antonio Conte is regarded as the favourite to take over the reigns from Delneri.
