Bundesliga Team of the Week Round 28 (MD28) 2022/23 season- 3 Schalke players in TOTW

You don’t see 3 Schalke players in Kicker’s Bundesliga Team of the Week often, but that’s the case here in Round 28, with the Royal Blues having the most representatives in MD28’s TOTW for the 2022/2023 season.

Bulter, Skarke and Kaminski are the three S04 players in the Bundesliga Team of the Week. Bayern have only one representative- Benjamin Pavard, who scored their only goal in the 1:1 draw against Hoffenheim.

2 Koln, 2 Leipzig and 1 each from Freiburg, Mainz and Monchengladbach make up Round 28’s Team of the Week.

Schalke 5:2 Hertha
Koln 1:1 Mainz
Stuttgart 3:3 Dortmund
Bayern 1:1 Hoffenheim
Leipzig 3:2 Augsburg
Frankfurt 1:1 Gladbach

Bayer Leverkusen 3:1 Eintracht Frankfurt Player Ratings 2023- Wirtz shines for B04

The Leverkusen Eintrach Frankfurt was one of the highly awaited ones from the most recent round of Bundesliga fixtures, and the home side notched up their seventh straight win across all competitions with a 3:1 win.

Leverkusen fans would’ve been delighted to see young Florian Wirtz with two assists to his name- the highly talented teenager, if you remember, has recovered well after suffering an ACL around this time last year.

Here are the Bild player ratings for Leverkusen vs Frankfurt- Wirtz bags a 1 (technically the highest possible) as does defender Jonathan Tah.

The win saw B04 leapfrog Eintracht in the league standings.

TSG aim to make it four in a row

TSG Hoffenheim will be aiming to secure a fourth successive league win when they square off against defending champions Bayern at the Allianz Arena this weekend. Pellegrino Matarazzo’s side were bottom of the league three rounds ago, but a series of impressive wins has seen them rise to 14th ahead of this weekend’s clash.

They first beat Hertha 3:1 at home, with Andrej Kramaric scoring a double for the hosts. Kramaric was again on the scoresheet when they beat Werder 2:1 away from home earlier this month, which was followed up by a 2:0 win at home to fellow relegation threatened side Schalke.
