Here are the player ratings for Slovakia vs Germany from big German sports paper Bild following Die Mannschaft’s shock loss in World Cup 2026 qualifying. This September 2025 2:0 defeat to Slovakia was the first time in 52 games that the Germans had lost an away WC qualifier.

Bayern won the game 2:1 at the MHP Arena thanks to goals from Harry Kane and new summer signing Luis Diaz, thus picking up their 11th Super Cup title in the process.

German / Bundesliga player nominees for Ballon d’Or 2025

Here is the list of Bundesliga player nominees for the 2025 Ballon D’Or.

The German Bundesliga has four nominees in the 30 member shortlist for the 2025 Ballon D’Or. They are

Harry Kane (Bayern Munich)
Michael Olise (Bayern Munich)
Serhou Guirassy (Borussia Dortmund)
Florian Wirtz (Bayer Leverkusen; now Liverpool FC)

So there is only one German player nominated for the 2025 Men’s Ballon D’Or, and that is Florian Wirtz. The other three Bundesliga nominees are Kane (England), Olise (France) and Guirassy (Guinea).
