Bundesliga Team of the Week (Round 8 for 2024-25) | Augsburg, Leipzig shine

Here is a look at the Bundesliga Team of the Week for GW8 (24/25) from German paper Bild. The round’s biggest upset came in the form of FC Augsburg’s 2:1 triumph over Borussia Dortmund, and FCA have been rewarded for that win with three representatives in Bild’s TOTW (plus manager of the week in Thorup)

Augsburg’s 3 TOTW players are Alexis Claude-Maurice, who scored both their goals against BVB, defender Schlotterbeck and midfielder Onyeka.

Leipzig’s win over fellow European hopefuls Freiburg was a big one, and it saw Orban, Geertruida and Openda nominated for Team of the Week.
