Here are the player ratings for France women vs Wales from their Euro 2025 Group clash on 9 July, 2025. France beat Wales Ladies 4:1 to make it two wins out of two in Group D.
These ratings are from French sports newspaper L’Equipe and they have French forward Clara Mateo as the pick of the players (9/10). On the opposite end is Wales goalkeeper Safia Middelton-Patel, with the Man United youngster getting a rating of just 2/10 from L’Equipe.

Mateo scored France’s first goal and also had a hand in their second (fouled for the penalty converted by Diani) and third (assist for Majri) goals.
France 4 (Mateo, Diani penalty, Majri, Geyoro)
Wales 1 (Fishlock)
Wales were outsiders, and France won 4:1 despite making seven changes to the side that had beaten England in their previous group game. However the Welsh managed to get a goal through Jess Fishlock- their first ever goal at the Women’s Euro tournament. Fishlock got a 6/10 player rating against France- the joint highest for Wales Women along with Ceri Holland.
Despite their two wins so far, France may still be eliminated if England beat Wales and they lose to the Netherlands by three or more goals in the final set of group games.
