Bayern Munich midfielder Hamit Altintop signs for Real Madrid

Real Madrid have officially announced the signing of FC Bayern’s Turkish midfielder Hamit Altintop on a four year contract. Altintop, whose contract with Bayern will expire at the end of this season, will join Real on a free and follow in the footsteps of Turkish compatriot Nuri Sahin, who sealed a 10 million euro move from Bundesliga champions Dortmund to Real a few weeks ago. Arsenal manager Wenger expects Andrei Arshavin to stay

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said that he has no plans to sell Andrei Arshavin this summer and expects the Russian playmaker to stay at the Emirates. Arshavin has struggled to reproduce his best form in the last few months, leading to speculation that Wenger would offload him as he attempts to pierce together a squad that is capable of breaking the Gunners’ longstanding title drought. Glasgow Rangers ace Jelavic dismisses Manchester United rumours

Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic has dismissed rumours linking him to a transfer to newly crowned Premier League champions Manchester United.
