Celtic claim their first piece of silverware in the 10/11 season as they comfortably beat Motherwell 3-0 in the 2011 Scottish Cup Final. Excellent goals from Ki Sung Yueng and Charlie Mulgrew, sandwiched between an unfortunate own goal for Well captain Craigan. Juventus sack manager Luigi Delneri

Juventus have informed manager Luigi Delneri that he will not remain in charge of the Bianconeri for next season. Delneri informed reporters of Juve’s decision ahead of the club’s weekend game against SSC Napoli. He said that Juventus had told him his services would not be required on Wednesday and that the game against Napoli would be his last game as coach of the Turin side. Johan Elmander to Galatasaray- Bolton lose record signing for nothing

Bolton are set to lose record signing Johan Elmander to Galatasaray on a free transfer after the Turkish club announced that they had an agreement in principle with the Swedish star. The Trotters purchased Elmander for a club record £11m from French club Toulouse FC in 2008 on a three year deal but dilly dallied on offering him a new contract after his poor performances in his first two seasons at the Reebok.

Elmander however flourished in his last season under Owen Coyle, and scored some excellent goals, including a stunning solo effort against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Coyle however has refuted allegations saying that Bolton had missed a trick by allowing their record signing to leave on a free.
