West Ham in £12M Bent swoop

West Ham United are ready to make an offer for Tottenham striker Darren Bent.

The People says West Ham still hope to tempt Tottenham with a £12million bid for Bent.

Last month England striker Bent regretted his decision not to join the Hammers in the summer after going to White Hart Lane for £16.5m.

Now Upton Park chief Curbishley is ready to make a move for Bent, a player he signed while Charlton manager.

Manchester City and Aston Villa are also monitoring developments.
