Tottenham In HUNT For Talented French Striker

Tottenham have reportedly trained their sights on Rennes’ Jimmy Briand as they step up their search for a new striker when the transfer window re-opens in January.
TribalFootball.com understand Spurs will launch a bid for the former France Under-21 international, although the French outfit are likely to hold out for up to £8million for the 23-year-old.
Briand has managed only 23 goals for Rennes in 139 appearances, although his record for the national Under-21 side is far better, with nine goals to his name from 22 games.
Tottenham are desperate to find suitable replacements for Dimitar Berbatov and Robbie Keane, with only youngster Frazier Campbell brought in on-loan from Manchester United and Roman Pavlyuchenko yet to find his feet after his £14million arrival from Spartak Moscow.
