Spurs are ready to make a swoop for Valencia’s out-of-favour midfielder David Albelda, according to reports.

The 30-year-old looks certain to leave the Spanish giants after being told he has no future at the Mestalla.

He has reportedly been made available for a bargain £1.5 million.

However, Spurs face stiff competiton for the Spanish international, with Turkish outfit Fenerbahce and Premier League rivals Chelsea also monitoring the situation.

Albelda is thought to prefer a move to the Premier League and it now looks like Spurs boss Juande Ramos is ready to make a swoop.
