Spurs Midfielder Is Relishing Play-Off Clash

Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara is bracing himself for one of the biggest challenges of his short career as he prepares to line up against Wales for the second leg of England Under-21’s European Championship play-off tie.

O’Hara played at left-back for the team’s 3-2 first leg victory at Cardiff’s Ninian Park ground last week, and is likely to feature for tonight’s all-important game at Villa Park – in a game he believes could produce some ‘cracking’ football.

“I thought Wales played really well in the first leg, they gave it everything but the positive thing is we came away with a win,” said the 22-year-old. “In fact, we were a bit frustrated in the dressing room afterwards that we’d only won 3-2.

“The second leg is a huge game and it could be a cracker.

“Wales have got to go for it to a certain extent because they need to win and that could play into our hands with the pace we have in the team.

“It’s a big game for me but I feel confident within the squad now and hopefully I’ll play my part again.”
