Spurs Looking To Put Up £16m For Dutchmen Van Nistelrooy

Tottenham boss Juande Ramos has asked Real Madrid to name their price for the Euro 2008 standout Ruud van Nistelrooy. Ruud has been a big part of the Dutch success the past couple weeks, and the Spurs are hoping to capitalize on his scoring prowess.
In a sure sign of Ramos’ ambitions for the new season, Marca says he contacted the Real directors this week to talk about the possibility of bringing the Dutchman back to England.
Ramos is willing to put £16 million on the table for Van Nistelrooy, though he supposedly received a cool response from Real.

he would be amazing, we dont need youth we have alot he will be great for another 3 years and after he has helped us reach camps league we can attract others, we just need to get there sooner rather than later. we dont want a striker who will reach his peak in 4 years as the other players who do well will leave ie carricka and probably berba. we need all our player to peak at simialar times so we dont have stand out players who will get brought, and if that is buying a striker at his peak who will probably not get brought by a top club after 2 years ( which top european club will buy ruud at 33?) than great. snap him up

Agree with spruntspur, Van Nistleroy would be a great buy. A big direct striker alongside Keane/Dos Santos is what we need. I have said it before you need experience in our side. Bringing in talented youngsters and then not letting them play is just silly, today Lennon, Huddlestone, O’Hara is probably starting to get decent players. They have a lot of premier league matches under their belt that’s why everone wants to sign them. If they go now we would have to start all over again. We should not sell them now because now they are ready to deliver the goods, if they don’t we should let them go. Bostock, Taarbt, Rose need to play regularly to improve, we should loan them out to 1st div or championship sides. I really like the thought of Modric and Giovanni in our side. They got flair and will be funny to watch if we only could keep Berbatov we would have quite a team. Only need a goalie and a defensive midfielder to at least give Zokora and Robinson some competition.
