Riise to get Anfield axe

John Arne Riise has been told he can find another club.

The Liverpool full-back scored a late own goal in the Champions League semi-final, first-leg with Chelsea.

And he was called into a meeting with boss Rafa Benitez following their exit from the competition last week.

Riise, 27, is said to have reacted angrily at being axed.

He was offered to Aston Villa in a possible switch which would take Gareth Barry to Anfield.
