Tottenham appear to have a fight on their hands to land England striker Emile Heskey after Wigan vowed to keep the forward.
The north Londoners have reportedly turned their attention to Latics hitman Heskey as they seek a replacement for Manchester United-bound Dimitar Berbatov.
A fee of £10million for the former Leicester, Liverpool and Birmingham star has been mooted in media reports.
However, according to the Daily Mail, Wigan believe that hanging onto Heskey is key to their Premier League survival and, as such, would be doing everything possible to keep him at the JJB Stadium.

Now where is there any suggestion that Spurs are actually interested in Heskey
Other than from the Daily “Berbatov in Manchester having a medical. Oops he was actually at Spurs’ training ground.” Mail
