Amid the speculation that Thierry Henry may be signing for Manchester Untied, Arsene Wenger remains insistent that the ex-Gunner will not be returning to England.

However, Wenger has not ruled out the fact that the Frenchman could play for Arsenal in the future.

If Alex Ferguson fails to sign Dimitar Berbatov, then rumours have been suggesting that Henry could be his next target, and Ferguson chose not to dismiss the rumours after Man United's community Shield Victory.

"It is possible I will sign someone this week. We are trying and we are looking at one or two options," he told a reporter.

"It has been pressing since the end of last season. We like to operate with four strikers, and we have not been able to do that."

Some people are dismissing the speculation as a way that Ferguson is forcing the Berbatov deal to go through, especially as the stories have been coming through just after new boss Pep Guardiola stated that he wants to give Henry another chance at Barcelona. Wenger is one of the people who does not believe the speculation.

He told the club's official website, "I don’t believe Thierry Henry will come back to England. That is my gut feeling. But I think if he comes back to England then he comes back to Arsenal."
