Talks are set to continue between Tottenham and Zenit St Petersburg over the possible move of attacking midfielder Andrei Arshavin.

Despite communications between the clubs looking to have been terminated last week after Zenit made Arshavin's asking price £21million, the clubs are set for more talks as they have got closer to agreeing a price.

Arshavin stood out in Russia's Euro 2008 campaign, displaying pace, skill, and goalscoring abilities, and was also a part of Zenit's UEFA Cup winning team last term.

Although he has been linked with high profile clubs such as Barcelona and Chelsea, Tottenham are the only club to pursue the 27-year-old.
