ZENIT St Petersburg have hinted that they will be willing to let Tottenham target Andrei Arshavin leave the club in the January transfer window.
The Russian attacker was reportedly close to sealing a move to White Hart Lane after agreeing personal terms over the summer, but the two clubs failed to settle on a fee.
But the 27-year-old, who rose to fame during an impressive tournament for is country in Euro 2008, remains keen to secure a move away from his homeland, prompting suggestions that he could finally secure his long-awaited move to Spurs.
Zenit coach Dick Advocaat admitted in Sport Express: “As a coach, I suppose that we should give Andrei a chance to try himself in the other team.
“It will be better both for our club and for the player.
“We had good time together and it’s time to part with him.”

he wont come to spurs, we wasted the whole summer saying will he wont he and i would rather not waste another minute. he is not a prolific scorer which is what we need, he probably dont speak a word of english and it will only setback pavyluchenko’s learning because they will start talking russian all the time. waste of time and money in my opinion, i’d much rather the Yak for half the price.
