Sunderland have had a whopping £23 million joint bid for four Spurs players accepted by the north Londoners.
Reports from yesterday suggested that the Black Cats are keen to take Steed Malbranque, Pascal Chimbonda, Teemu Tainio and Younes Kaboul to the Stadium of Light.
Although Kaboul's agent confirmed the player won't be joining the Wearsiders, Spurs seem keen to let the quartet leave.
Boss Juande Ramos has made it clear that he is eager to dump the deadwood at the club and make funds available for new players.
Chimbonda has also been linked with Everton and Newcastle, while Malbranque is thought to be attracting Aston Villa.
Kaboul is a long-term target of Portsmouth, and Tainio is apparently wanted by ex-Spurs boss Martin Jol, now at the helm of German outfit Hamburg.
