Sunderland Football Club would love to take Harry Kewell in the summer.
The Australian’s injury-hit time at Liverpool looks set to come to an end at the end of the season when his contract has expired, with no sign of fresh terms being offered thus far.
This has alerted Roy Keane who has almost guided the Black Cats to Premier League safety this season, as he looks to add to his squad in a bid to become an established top-flight force.
Kewell will, if Keane gets his way, be one of many new arrivals at the Stadium of Light, and the former Leeds United man would become the club’s highest earner on a three-year deal.

Can’t see it myself!! Would be very weird to see Kewell playing for the black Cats. Without being disrespectful to Sunderland, a fully fit Kewell should be playing at a higher level. Likewise, Harry Kewell in his current permanently crocked state should not be on professional terms with any club as it’s just a complete waste of money. Kewell should definitely play in Spain - the slower pace will really suit his game.
