Tottenham defender Chris Gunter has admitted he is already impressed with new signing Roman Pavlyuchenko after playing against him in Wales' World Cup qualifier against Russia.
Pavlyuchenko scored a penalty to give his country the lead after his club mate Gareth Bale had previously missed a spot kick of his own at the other end.
Going into the game, the pair knew little about their new team-mate but Gunter insisted he saw plenty of evidence to suggest that the 26-year-old forward will be a big hit at White Hart Lane.
"I was impressed with him. He did a lot of unselfish work off the ball that you appreciated when you were playing against him," said Gunter.
Pavlyuchenko is likely to make his debut for his new club in Spurs' clash with Aston Villa on Monday night.
