Tottenham boss Juande Ramos has asked Real Madrid to name their price for the Euro 2008 standout Ruud van Nistelrooy. Ruud has been a big part of the Dutch success the past couple weeks, and the Spurs are hoping to capitalize on his scoring prowess.

In a sure sign of Ramos' ambitions for the new season, Marca says he contacted the Real directors this week to talk about the possibility of bringing the Dutchman back to England.

Ramos is willing to put £16 million on the table for Van Nistelrooy, though he supposedly received a cool response from Real.
