Tottenham are reportedly lining up a £10million bid for Torino striker Alessandro Rosina.

Internet sources suggest the 24-year-old Italian has caught the eye of Spurs boss Juande Ramos, as the club seek a suitable replacement for Dimitar Berbatov and Robbie Keane, who completed big-money summer transfers to Manchester United and Liverpool respectively.

Rosina is starting to make a name for himself in Italy, and has a useful strike rate, scoring at just over a goal every three games, while he has also made his debut for his country last year.

However, Torino president Urbano Cairo has issued a hands-off warning to Spurs after hearing of the speculation.

"Rosina to Spurs? Yes, I heard about that," he said.

"I'm happy that other teams are interested in our players, but he is staying put. We have great faith in him, he is the player who can be our extra weapon and we are not willing to part company with him. End of story."
