Spurs boss Juande Ramos claims he will have no problems picking want-away striker Dimitar Berbatov for Saturday's game with Sunderland.

The former Bayer Leverkusen frontman has made no secret of wanting to join Manchester United ahead of the transfer window closing on September 1. And while some Tottenham fans are unhappy with the situation, Spanish coach Ramos would be more than happy to select him for the White Hart Lane visit of the Black Cats, as there have been no confirmed bids from United.

"It's the same as what we've been saying up until now, there's no difference to that. There's no news on that," Ramos said through an interpreter on Sky Sports News.

"There's two days to go. A lot can happen.

"I'll look at the team, I'll wait until the last training session, see how everyone is in training and then I'll make a decision.

"He's an excellent pro, as he's been working totally independently from anything that might be happening outside of football.

"I think any speculation that you refer to have been handled by his agent. He's just been getting on with things professionally in his training.

"He's our player. He's at our club. He's a fantastic player so it would be great for him to stay."
