Spurs defender Gareth Bale is hoping to cure the Aston Villa hangover as early as Thursday when the team get their UEFA Cup camapign underway.
Last night's 2-1 defeat to Martin O'Neill's side was the team's third of the season and leaves them rock bottom of the league.
Bale accepts it has been the worst possible start for the side but is determined to put it right straight away when they take on Polish outfit Wisla Krakow in the first round of the UEFA Cup this week, insisting the team need to stay together if they are to get out of this slump.
"It's very frustrating," he said. "We wanted to get on top straight away and we didn't. We just have to stick together and pull through this as a team now.
"We'll never give up because the team spirit will always be there. But we have to work together and battle hard to get a win under our belts.
"Another game so soon after a defeat like this is important because we need to get things right on the pitch. Hopefully this can start our season off.
"Wisla will be another tough game so we will have to be at our best. If we play well, we can get that result."
