Spurs Chief Comes Under-Fire From Fans

Criticism of Commoli is justified imo & I’ve sent in a few to various sites. However, the real problem is the stupid continental structure that Levy has persisted with over the years. It’s never produced any results other than the cosmetic sort i.e. when the’ rabbit out of hat’ Santini hopped off back to France, Levy was able to proclaim that the fact that Arnsen and Jol were stil in place justified the system. Given that both the latter left or were forced out in relatively quick succession shows the fraudulence of any such claims.
More telling is the revelation that Martin O’Neil ( the hot favourite after Hoddle )turned Spurs down because Levy wouldn’t give him full control. M O’N managed to face down Barry’s transfer demands. Levy? Well, lying back and thinking of England and letting Keane, Berbatov not to mention Defoe go in quick succession is more appropriate.I thought Spurs were supposed to be building a team…?
Why does Levy persist with this system? Having a strong manager would help team cohesion and player loyalty.However a strong manager like O’Neill would have more power in negotiations with Levy - in particular concerning screwing out the extra few million in transfer fees and salaries to get the top players… so in short is the ‘ continental’ management structure just an excuse for a control freak management style? If so, the sooner spurs get rid of it the better!
