Following a miserable start to the season Spurs boss Juande Ramos has urged the club's supporters to be patient.

The north Londoners find themselves bottom of the Premier League table after taking just one point from their opening four league games.

But Spanish coach Ramos, who is preparing his troops for tonight's Uefa Cup first round clash with Polish outfit Wisla Krakow at White Hart Lane, has told the club's supporters that he has the squad to start delivering the results.

He said: "To only have one point is a difficult situation to be in.

"But I'd say to the supporters that they need to have confidence in the team. We have a good squad and I'm sure, in the future, we'll be better."

And despite Tottenham's worst league start in 34 years, Ramos still has hopes of delivering a top four finish in the Premier League this season, after claiming “anything is possible”.

"The fans, myself, the club - we want the best performances quickly, but we need to be patient. This process takes time," he added.

"We need to improve, little by little. It could be ten, 12 or 15 games.

"Yes, I am worried because we need points but we have a good squad."
