WEST Ham have given a trial to former Deportivo La Coruna striker Diego Tristan.
The 32-year-old Spain international is currently without a club after leaving Italian Serie B side Livorno.
Hammers boss Gianfranco Zola has given Tristan the chance to rekindle his goalscoring touch, which had seen him finish as Primera Liga's top marksman with 21 goals in the 2001/02 season, when La Coruna finished as runners-up.
Tristan left the Estadio Municipal de Riazor in 2006 to return to his first club Real Mallorca, but after an unsuccessful spell he moved to Italy with Livorno.
But a return of one goal in 20 games brought an end to that stint and he will now be keen to get his career back on track by impressing Zola at Upton Park.
