Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson admits he may struggle to bring Dimitar Berbatov to Old Trafford.
The Bulgarian striker has been frequently linked with a move to United but according to the Daily Mail, Ferguson is reluctant to pay Spurs' £32million asking price.
"I'm less optimistic about Berbatov," said Ferguson.
"There are about 11 days left, so we are under pressure.
"We're working at something. You never know in football. We may get him, we may not.
"If we don't we will carry on with what we've got."

This season will never be the same as Chelsea, Liverpool, and Arsenal will be much stronger. There will be no African Nation Cup so the African players in Chelsea and Arsenal camp will not be awayed like last season.,…. and with the absence of our terrific Ronaldo, it is obvious that United will struggling if they cannot sign any top class striker.
Rooney today is no longer a top class striker. It seems like he doesn’t know what he should do most on the pitch which is scoring goals. His scoring rate is too low for being a top clas striker. Saha’s always injured. And with Ronaldo still out for at least 8 weeks, it sems like we only have Tevez whose height is not big enough for playing as a target man.
If we fail to land Berbatov, United should go for Thierry Henry. With his pace, skill, and high scoring rate, the signing of Henry will benefit United a lot. I can remember that Ronaldo used to say that Henry is one of his favourite players. So, apart from benefits on the pitch, the signing of Henry will make Ronaldo stay with us longer.
