The mass exodus of players from White Hart Lane continues as Robinson heads for the exit due to the Juande Ramos era.
He likes it to be done his way, that means signing his players and getting rid of the ones somewhat stagnating at the club. There has been mass speculation surrounding the quartets proposed move to Sunderland, (Pascal Chimbonda, Younes Kaboul, Teemu Tainio, Steed Malbranque). But this has by far been overshadowed by the events taking place between Berbatov and Robbie Keane with Champions League winners Manchester United and Premiership hopefuls Liverpool.
Paul Robinson, 28, has left Tottenham for Blackburn for a moderate fee of £3.5m after joining in 2004 for £1.5m. It has been widely suggested that Robinson suffered form since the European Qualifier where he let in the own goal from a gary nevielle back pass. Since that moment his performances have plummeted therefore inevitably leaving.
It has been said that this particular move can free up Brad Freidel for a move to Aston Villa. Freidel, now 37, has become a more consistent performer and is seen as a positive aquistion by Aston Villa Manger Martin O'neill.
In the Yorkshire Evening Post O'Neill said: "We've been given permission to talk to the player and that's something that we want to do. But there are still lots of things to happen.
"We're in the process of strengthening the squad and this is all part of our efforts to add strength in depth."
