Tottenham striker Robbie Keane is moving closer to a dream switch to Liverpool. The Republic of Ireland star has been a £20million target for Liverpool.

The Sun says Keane last night edged closer to Anfield after being left out of Spurs' friendly in Alicante.

This can be signs of showing the end of an era. The Tottenham star has been welcomed by Liverpool striker, Dirk Kuyt, who relishes the prospect of competition within the club.

The Sun said " At Liverpool there will always be signings. We want to progress, so you always need better players. It is a long season, hopefully with a lot of games."
