I think it’s shows utterly disgraceful homophobia on behalf of the Hampshire constabulary. The lyrics of the song in question, although deeply offensive to anyone who has sympathy for Sol Campbell, make no comment on his sexuality. It seems the police are assuming that those suffering from HIV are all homosexual. This is simply not the case. The police should be ashamed of making such an assumption and I hope the FA don’t share they’re prejudices.

As a life-long Yid I don’t blame Sol for leaving after 10 years loyal service so that he could win something. there was bugger-all chance of doing that with us. The only thing that really pissed everyone off was that they got him for free but I guess that was the board’s fault for not selling him earlier. There is no way we would keep a player of his quality for that long now. Now we just buy promising players and fatten them up for sale at a decent profit after a couple of years. Keeping on abusing him after all this time is frankly pathetic and just makes us look like o lot of moronic idiots. I hate to think what Danny would say about it.

totally supportive of any action the FA take, I’m sad to say. The despicable anti-Campbell chanting, which seems like it’ll never go away, made me ashamed to be a yid on Sunday. Vile.
