Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini is seriously considering an offer tabled by Arsenal for striker Amauri.
Gazzetta dello Sport says the Gunners have offered £16 million cash for the Brazilian, who is close to gaining an Italian passport. Amauri's advisors have also been tabled a £2.75 million-a-year deal by Arsenal for him to consider.
Juventus have been locked in negotiations this month with Palermo over Amauri, but Arsenal's shock move has turned the head of Zamparini.

Utter nonsense. The Palermo president is on record as saying he has had NO offer from Arsenal at all, and the player and club are only negotiating with Juventus.
