Milan, Italy (Sports Network) - Jose Mourinho has confirmed he is still keen to lure Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard to new club Internazionale.
Mourinho has seen two bids for the unsettled England midfielder rejected by the Stamford Bridge club in recent weeks.
But the former Chelsea boss is refusing to give up in his pursuit of the 30- year-old midfielder, who has just 12 months remaining on his existing contract.
Lampard has so far failed to agree terms on a new deal and Mourinho has suggested that, while the contract stand-off remains in place, there is a possibility of the player joining his side.
"The transfer market is open until August 31 and we need a midfielder," said the Portuguese coach.
"Lampard is a Chelsea player but I have worked really well with him. I also like Ricardo Quaresma but he is at FC Porto."
