Didier Drogba is AC Milan’s No 1 summer transfer target — and they are ready to splash out £15million to land the Chelsea star.

The Italian giants’ technical director Ariedo Braida met Drogba’s representatives in Milan on Wednesday, a day after their Champions League defeat to Arsenal

A source close to the Ivory Coast striker said: “Milan are crazy about Didier. There was a meeting in Milan this week and the Italians said Didier is their priority for this summer.”

Milan’s message to Drogba, 30, was that he has to put pressure on Chelsea to lower their asking price.

Earlier this season, Drogba admitted he wanted to leave following Jose Mourinho’s departure.

The Sun revealed at the time that Drogba was furious at Chelsea’s failure to honour a promise of a pay rise.

The top scorer earns HALF skipper John Terry’s £140,000-a-week wages.

He was told to expect a huge hike in wages after his FA Cup winner last season — yet an eventful start to this campaign meant the deal was put on the backburner.
