A String of media reports this morning claim West Ham defender Anton Ferdinand is on the verge of completing a move to Sunderland.

Most of the national papers this morning, including the Telegraph claim that Hammers boss Alan Curbishley is willing to cash-in on the 23-year-old, with the Black Cats reported to be willing to pay as much as £8million for the former England Under-21 international.

The Telegraph claims Sunderland boss Roy Keane is expected to sign Ferdinand on a four-year contract, as he looks to continue his major rebuilding process at the Stadium of Light.
