This summer Cristiano Ronaldo's move to Madrid has been the most talked about subject when concerning Manchester United. After a successful double winning campaign some would've thought transfers would be fast and furious for the English outfit, but Sir Alex Ferguson has made it known that his main interest is to keep the squad he already has.

Adding to this it has been reported that Sir Alex is in pursuit of one player in particular, who will "boost" their attack. Sky Sports News report that Man United have tabled a £22million bid for Tottenham Striker Dimitar berbatov and expect the deal to go through over the next week. Sir Alex is positive that Berba will soon be a Man U player and has said "We've made a bid for one player and obviously that would enhance us a great deal".

"I have replaced Gerard Pique with Jonny Evans, so we are back to the same numbers".

"If we got one more it would strengthen us even further".

So Man United fans it seems the strong link between Dimitar Berbatov could soon become a permanent link. Rooney, Tevez, Ronaldo and Berbatov, certainly a potential force to be reckoned with.
