Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp could be lured out of retirement by LA Galaxy.
The People says Bergkamp spent time with Galaxy chief Alexei Lalas on Thursday, though the ex-Arsenal star's agent, Rob Jansen, has rejected suggestions he was discussing a move.

how is he going to get there? swim!!!!!
Absolute rubbish, considering that the MLS teams have to fly to a lot of away games, I don’t believe that Bergkamp has suddenly cured his fears.
Doesn’t Bergkamp have a deathly fear of flying that kept him from sometimes being able to participate in European competition if the journey was too far to be made by rail/auto? Imagine trying to play in MLS without flying. He’d be able to play at home and against Chivas and the new San Jose club - and that’s about it.
Where is the source for this? And why would an ex-agent reject suggestions if he’s not working for him?
This sounds as honest as Diego Maradona.

This is from highly unlikely to nearly impossible. Bergkamp has fear of flying (ironically developed during US94), and he was usually unavailable for away Champions League games for Arsenal. I don’t have to point out the logistics of traveling in the US, do I?
