Emmanuel Adebayor has warned his Arsenal team mates that they can not afford to make another slip up this season following the defeat at Fulham.

The Gunners failed to get into their stride at Craven Cottage on Saturday as they slumped to a miserable 1-0 reverse.

Adebayor believes that the club should not be losing ground in the Premier League title race at such an early stage of the season.

"Of course, we cannot afford to lose another game," Adebayor told The Sun.

"As players, as a club playing for the title, we don't want to lose a single game. But we have lost, the defeat is there. We cannot change that.

"We just have to keep on going, try to be focused a little better and achieve things.

"Now the title becomes a bit difficult, as we have lost the second game of the season."

However, the Togo international reckons the setback can serve as a wake up call to the squad, reminding them that they are not untouchable.

He added: "Losing is going to be the best warning we can be given. We can't think we are untouchable."
