Midfielder to snub Spurs, Chelsea for Liverpool

Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Luka Modric has made a ‘come and get me’ plea to Liverpool.

Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal have been credited with serious interest in the Croatia international this week, but it is Liverpool he pines for.

Modric told Vecernji list: “I don’t wish to discuss possible transfers, but if Liverpool really want me, then this is fantastic and I am truly honoured.

“I watched the Champions League quarter-finals and the way they crushed Arsenal. Only the greatest and the best can play such a match against strong Arsenal.”

Another World class player who appears to be eager to join Liverpool over the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal.
It beggared belief that Fernando Torres chose to ply his trade in Merseyside over London or Manchester and now that Modric is appealing to Liverpool to make an offer for his services, you have to wonder if there’s something in the water in the Capital of culture?
The youngster is a great young talent and he would fit into any side due to his versatility and his ability from free-kicks.
The price-tag of £20 million plus may be high but the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool have smashed this figure in recent years to land high profile targets and whose to say they won’t do the same this time?

He would be a fantastic buy superb player exactly what we need, a creative midfielder with loads of talent and composure arguably one of the best midfielders in europe or possibly the world at the moment, with age on his side only 22! a must buy! Rafa

George, do you not think that it is strange that these top, top players such as Torres and Modric are telling Liverpool to make an approach for them?
I don’t mean any disrespect but Liverpool are no closer to the Premiership crown now than they were when Benitez took the helm. Fair enough you have claimed the Champions League title since then but I have to think for the sake of their careers they would be better off at a team such as Manchester Utd or Arsenal. They would undoubtedly be given a chance in the first team and arguably have more chance of claiming silverware with these two clubs over Liverpool.
