Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has rejected an approach from Southend United for defender Adam Eckersley.
Southend wanted to take Eckersley on-loan, but Ferguson wouldn't consider releasing the youngster, who spent part of last season on-loan at Brondby.
