Spanish international Joaquin could be set for a summer move to Everton.

The Valencia winger wants to quit the Mestalla following a disastrous La Liga campaign.

And Toffees boss David Moyes is keen to beat Italian giants Roma to the punch by sealing a move before Euro 2008 kicks off.

Joaquin’s agent Eduardo Espejo said: “I cannot deny there have been offers from Italy and the Premier League.

“European clubs are well aware of Valencia’s current situation because it has been well documented.”

Valencia are just two points clear of the relegation zone with three league games remaining.

And it is no secret the club will need to balance the books this summer, with the likes of David Villa, David Silva and Raul Albiol expected to be sold for cut-price fees.

Espejo added: “I agree with what Villa’s agent said in the sense that things at Valencia have meant the players have been devalued.

“But I also cannot say how much the club will ask for Joaquin.”

Former Real Betis ace Joaquin has a £32million buy-out clause in his contract.

Valencia splashed £20m on him two years ago but the fallen giants are ready to listen to offers in the region of £12m.
