So who could afford the wage demands of Eto'o? Who else but Chelsea is still in the running.
After many people speculated that the high price for Eto'o would scare away teams, The Sun claims that Chelsea are on the lookout for a potential replacement for Didier Drogba, who could be Milan-bound for €27m.
Florent Malouda could be the one making his way to Barça, along with €22m, in exchange for Eto'o.
Barcelona technical secretary Txiki Begiristain is said to be an admirer of Malouda, although his position could already be taken if Russian striker Andrei Arshavin arrives.
