Hernan Crespo's agent has revealed that Chelsea are considering recalling the Argentine.
Crespo moved to Internazionale last summer on a two-year deal after Chelsea let him leave on a free transfer.
However, the English champions installed a 'buy-back' clause which means they could take him back at the end of the season - meaning in truth the deal was a loan.
It seemed likely that Crespo would be staying in Italy - but the player's representative Fernando Hidalgo claims the player could be set for a third spell at Chelsea - as he has also spent a season on loan at Milan during his time with the Stamford Bridge club.
"Chelsea seem to have the intention to take him back to London," Hidalgo told Corriere dello Sport.
"If this was the case there would be nothing to do, due to the fact Roman Abramovich's side own the player.
"They have only loaned him for two seasons to Inter. Should in June they want to to take him back, then they will not be leaving him in Italy for a second year."
Reports in Italy suggest that Chelsea could offer Crespo a 12-month extension to his current deal taking him to 2009, as a reward for returning to West London.
While Chelsea ultimately have the final say on Crespo - the player himself wants to stay in Italy and Inter have already declared their intention to keep him.
