Hargreaves set to seal United move

Bayern Munich officials have finally accepted a bid in the region of £15-16M from Manchester United for midfielder Owen Hargreaves.
Hargreaves made no secret of his desire to move to Old Trafford and Bayern have been compelled to let him leave for a price £5M lower than their evaluation.
Hargreaves’s representatives are set to meet United officials for contract talks next week.

too pricey, he is not that worth. I prefer to play Fletcher than H O at the defensive midfield. Fletcher plays really good at that position for the last few games. If MU want to get a defensive midfield, get Nolan.

yea fletcher has come on age lately, but hargreaves is wot we need a ball winner who can play football, he has years of champions league experience and international experience unlike nolan and the competition for places in the midfield will improve carrick and fletchers game.

i actually believe Bayern Munich are the winners from this sale. Firstly, £16 million is too much for Owen. Hes good but if you are paying that much, thats the money we need for a top striker. However, i do believe Owen and Carrick could create and unforgettable partnership. Just like Keane and Scholes. Carrick is starting to get foward more like Scholes. Scoring more now as well which is good. Owen will give Carrick more freedom like Keane gave Scholes. So it should be a decent purchase.

Carrick is ok..but O.H. is simply a better DM. Yes it is expensive…but so what.

Sure O H is a good player, and we should buy him, but look at the other positions: GK, Van Der Sar is top 3 in the world and will be good for maybe 2-3 more seasons. Either kuszhak or foster is a great reserve. Defence: Heinze and Evra fighting for the left back, Rio, Vida, Brown in the middle, Right is Neville and BRown or O’shea as backup.. Sell Silvestre.. Midifeld: Flanks, Ronaldo (of course) and Park as backup, and if we get Nani he can play there as well as Giggs. Central: Carrick is creator and passer on the midfield and hargreaves is the ballwinner. i think we should have a rotation system where Scholes, Carrick, Hargreaves and Fletcher can shift. Attack: Rooney and my favourite pick Berbatov with Saha and Smith on the bench.. This I think would be the best team in the world.. What do you think??
