Hammers Boss Exit Sparks Debate: Have Your Say!
Posted on 03. Sep, 2008 by Milox in Premiership
IT’S arguably come as no shock that Alan Curbishley has quit West Ham.
The crows over the 50-year-old have been circling for some time and the sale of Anton Ferdinand and George McCartney to Sunderland seems to have been the last straw.
But one thing his departure has certainly drawn to the attention is the black cloud hanging over Upton Park at present.
Now we’re looking to see what you - the fans - think of Curbishley’s shock exit.
Was he right to quit the club?
Did he deserve to go anyway?
Were the board to blame for his departure?
Are you worried at the direction the club is heading?
Who should be the next Irons boss?
What do you make of the sale of Ferdinand and McCartney?
What do you think about the Hammers’ new signings?
Where did you think they will now finish this season?
Whatever it is, have your say below….

WELL I AM THE FIRST TO SAY HOW DISAPOINTED ON THIS . YES HE MAD MERSTAKES BUT AC WAS A BORN HAMMERS FAN AND HAD HAMMERS IN HIS BLOOD . I DONT TRUST THE BORD AND WOULD SAY THAT THE BEST THING THEY CAN DO IS TO SELL WEST HAM AND GIVE THE CLUB A BLOODY CHANCE , SHAME ON THEM WITH THIS AND I JUST HOPE THEY DONT BRING THIS CLUB DOWN. HEADS UP TO THE NEXT MAN IN CHARGE

Who is going to come to Upton Park when the board go behind the manager’s back on transfers. Maybe the Icelandic owners should sell up to the Maktoum family from Dubai.

This is bad news for the club. Forget about Bilic or any high profile manager BG has set out his intention that he will have the final say in everything. With his background we are going to be getting players on frees or loan or cheap crap who want 10K a week not 60K. AC has done the right thing in resigning. As a true hammers supporter he has faced humilation at the hands of money grabbing asset strippers, who belive me are not in this for the long haul. Our great club deserves management who care about the club not these penny pinchers. We fans should get the board out before someone like Dave Bassett or Lawrie Sanchez arrives on the cheap. But good luck to you AC you tried but there were too many things against you. You deserved better from the management and the players and much more appreciation from the supporters.
