Gunners Would Need Record Fee To Sign French Striker

Arsene Wenger’s plans to sign Lyon striker Karim Benzema look dead in the water after the French club stated they would want a world record £80million to let the player leave.
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas claims the 20-year-old’s contract with the French champions stated that any would-be suitors would have to stump up the mind-boggling fee to trigger the release clause.
“We got him to sign a contract which runs until 2013, and which has a buy-out clause of 100m euros. It’s more symbolic than anything else, “admitted Aulas.

What makes all these people think Arsenal need Benzema? Maybe Man City or Chelsea but not Arsenal.

Exactly LB. We’ve probably got the best strike force in the prem already with RvP, Ade, Bendtner, Eduardo, Vela and Walcott. Wtf would we be looking for MORE strikers?

Well said Phil. We already got 6 strikers, each worth over 20 million pounds. I will guess Wenger’s response as follows. “Benzema? No!!! Next question?”
Hehe. we simply do not need him at the moment.

We have sensational Theo Walcott & Carlos Vela. Karim Benzema, who ??? Anyway, if it in a range of 20m then we can consider. Anything more than that, “No”.
